WMSPTO Needs New Officers

The Westford Middle School Parent Teacher Organization (WMSPTO) is looking for people to volunteer for the following positions

  • Co-President
  • Vice President at Stony Brook
  • No-Fuss Fundraiser Coordinator
  • Secretary
  • Publicity
  • Arts and Education Programming (AEP) Chair

Anyone interested in signing up can get an application on the WMSPTO website. Elections will be held on June 4 at the Blanchard School library.

Congrats to Izabela

Fifth grader Izabela Fernandes was named as the 2014 Colgan Memorial Award winner.

Started to preserve the memory of Nick Colgan, the award goes to Day School students for excellence in creative writing, citizenship and physical education.

Other finalists included Mario Liguori, Charlie Norton, Olivia Smith, Hailey Sussman, Ryan Thivaharraja, Katherine Trotter and Torsten Ullrich.

Nab School Chess Champ

The Nabnasset School issued a special congratulations to Derek Zhao for placing 13th in the 2014 National Chess Elementary (K-6) Championship tournament in Dallas, Texas.

Six members of the New England Patriots will be playing basketball against members of the Westford Academy faculty on June 12 at 7 p.m.
