The Westford Board of Health has issued a release announcing a voluntary recall from Ocean’s Catch brand minced crab of East Providence, RI.

According to the announcement, some of the recalled products may have been contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes bacteria, which can cause serious infections in young children, frail or elderly people and those with weakened immune systems.

The products are distributed locally to Shaws and Market Basket. Anyone with questions can contact John Whiteside Jr. at 508-991-3333.
