Westford Board of Health Shares Notice On Chicken Recall

The Westford Board of Health has shared an announcement from Prime Pak Foods of Georgia recalling 24,000 pounds of fully cooked breaded chicken breast products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens.

According to the release, the two products, “Sugar Lake Farms Fully Cooked Breaded Chicken Breast Tenders” and “Sugar Lake Farms Fully Cooked Spicy Breaded Chicken Breast Chunks” were formulated with egg and wheat, which was not declared on its label.

The products were made from Dec. 12, 2012 to Mar. 21, 2014 and were distributed to hotels, restaurants and other institutions.
