Boston University Intern Finishes Six Week Program

Michelle Yang of Littleton recently completed a summer legislative internship with State Representative James Arciero. Ms. Yang, an Economics major at Northeastern University, completed a six week internship program in the State House office aimed at constituent services, legislative process, budgeting and communications.
Arciero Attends East Boston Camps Summer Solstice Event

East Boston Camps celebrates Summer Solstice. Fun was had by all at a very special fundraiser held for the East Boston Camps! The East Boston Camps Summer Solstice event featured not only an elegant, romantic evening under the stars, but a gourmet dinner provided by Two Chefs Are Better Than One Catering. This was followed by a night of live music and dancing with The Lookouts and critically acclaimed blues singer Sunny Crownover. Many unique local items were live auctioned to raise funds for a new bathhouse at the camp.
Troop 159’s Thomas Becomes Eagle Scout

State Representative James Arciero recently attended the Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Geoffrey Thomas of Westford Boy Scout Troop 159.
Geoffrey was recently awarded the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest award in scouting, on June 21st at a ceremony held at Saint Catherine’s Parish in Westford. In order to receive this prestigious designation, a scout must secure 21 merit badges in a number of different areas ranging from government to camping. The final step is the completion of an Eagle Scout project.
Geoffrey’s Eagle project was the designing, funding, and construction of a two hundred square foot greenhouse at the Norman E. Day Elementary School to add to the Living lab Science Program for grades 1-5 at the school..
As part of the ceremony, Representative Arciero presented a Massachusetts House of Representatives Citation to the recipient to mark the occasion. Representative Arciero is also an Eagle Scout.
