LinkedIn is reporting that it has purchased the Westford-based Bizo for $175 million.
Located on Littleton Road near Red Hat and Boch Honda West, Bizo is known as a leader in the field of B2B marketing analysis tools.
According to a press release from LinkedIn, the deal would consist of approximately 10 percent stock and 90 percent cash and would close at the end of the 2014 third quarter, pending conditions.
“We have been a LinkedIn partner for a while now and it became clear that our respective missions and cultures are really well aligned,” said Russell Glass, Bizo’s Co-Founder & CEO. “I couldn’t be more thrilled that we are coming together to accelerate our ability to reach professional audiences, nurture prospects, and acquire customers in truly powerful ways.”
In a separate statement from LinkedIn, some Bizo products will be discontinued, but it is unclear what that may mean for jobs in Westford, as well as at their offices in New York and at their headquarters in San Francisco.
