Selectmen Want To Give Three Day Liquor License Suspensions, ABCC May Overrule Them

Following a sting operation by the Massachusetts Alcohol Beverage Control Commission (ABCC), a restaurant and a liquor store were given punishment for serving alcohol to minors.

The town also wants to issue a punishment, per its policy, but it may not be able to.

Post-Softball Beer Leads To Permit Debate

An anonymous letter about beer drinking after softball games on the VFW led to a debate on the town’s liability, safety issues, tradition and whether all town events should be seen the same when it comes to alcohol consumption.

Junk Dealers Now Must Pay Fee

The Selectmen have been dealing with the issue of “drop boxes” throughout town for a few years and they took up the issue again with a proposed policy to charge those who own the drop boxes.
