Market Basket employees across New England have voiced support for the reinstatement of former CEO Arthur T. Demoulas, but a deadline imposed by some employees seeking change was not noticeable at its two stores in Westford.
In a statement posted on the Save Market Basket Facebook page, a meeting with Market Basket co-CEOs Jim Gooch and Felicia Thornton was demanded no later than 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, stating that the employees would not work for anyone other than Demoulas and no answer would be considered a decision not to bring him back.

However, as of approximately 4:35 at both of Westford’s two Market Baskets, life was going on as normal at both stores.
The Boston Globe, as well as other sources, report that a special meeting has been scheduled for Monday to discuss the situation between Gooch, Thornton and employees.
An event is scheduled to be held at the company’s Tewksbury headquarters on Friday

morning. However, in a letter to employees (pictured), the two CEOS indicated that any workers walking off the job would face termination.
Although it remains unclear what may happen, Doug Delaney, an employee of the Cornerstone Square Market Basket who has been with the company for seven years, had four words about the situation.
“We are sticking together.”
