Westford Academy has been named as the ninth best public high school in the Greater Boston area in a recent analysis done by Boston Magazine.
The list took statistics in 15 categories from the Massachusetts Department of Education and looked at how much each school varied from the state average.
Westford finished fourth on the study’s ranking of “dollars spent per SAT point” at $6.48, trailing only Georgetown ($6.47), Apponequet Regional ($6.43) and North Attleboro ($6.40).

The result was a slight drop from the #8 ranking given to Westford by the magazine in 2013, but a marked improvement over their #22 ranking in the list gained in 2012.
Topping the 2014 list was Dover-Sherburn High School, with International High School of Lawrence finishing last.
The entire list and more details about how Westford fared against other schools is available on the Boston Magazine website.
