From Nabnasset to Forge Village, here are your Five Things for Sept. 16, 2014 in Westford

#1. Producer Orientation at Westford CAT: Anyone interested in learning more Patty and Angus 2about producing their own television shows (like this pictured one with Angus Jennings and Patti Stocker) can take a tour, get an overview of Westford CAT’s services and get an overview of television equipment as well as a preview of future classes.

The class is on Sept. 30, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Westford CAT’s studios at 487 Groton Rd.

#2. Westford artist Bobbi Heath…. will be presenting her works in Concord this fall. For more, see the full story in the Westford Eagle.

#3. Half-Staff Notice…

Please be advised that Governor Deval L. Patrick has ordered that the United States flag and the Commonwealth flag be lowered to half-staff at all state buildings from sunrise until sunset on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, in honor of SPC Brian K. Arsenault, U.S. Army, of Northborough who was killed in action on September 4, 2014in Ghazni, Afghanistan.

#4. Today’s Grey Ghost Varsity Games… Westford Academy faces off against Wayland today, with the boys heading on the road and the girls hosting, both games occurring at 4 p.m.

There’s also a golf meet at 3:30 p.m. on the road against Acton-Boxborough.

#5. Tonight’s Board of Selectmen Meeting… has 15 items open to public scrutiny. Here’s an agenda from the town website.
