#2. Join Westford Academy Principal Jim Antonelli… and State Representative Jim Arciero in honoring Westford Farmers Market student volunteers for their work and dedication The ceremony takes place on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 5:00 p.m. at the bandstand on the town common.

 

#3. Westford Girl Scouts Information Night is on Oct. 8, 7:30 – 8:30, JV Fletcher Library, Mary Atwood Room (upstairs). If you’re thinking about Westford Girl Scouting for the 2014-2015 school year and you’d like more information, contact Elena Kyle, Westford Girl Scouts Registrar, at elena.kyle@yahoo.com or Julie Musante, Westford Girl Scout Coordinator, at jmusante99@gmail.com.They will answer your questions and offer helpful advice about the Westford Girl Scouts experience.

 

#4. Want To Strengthen Your Child’s Educational Experience? Join the Westford Parent Connection for The Parent Backpack For Kindergarten Through Grade Five, an evening discussion with ML Nichols.

 

Ms. Nichols is speaking on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Stony Brook Middle School auditorium.

#5. The Westford Health Department will once again…. be able to offer the course “Guiding Good Choices” free to participating parents, thanks to receiving a grant from the Greater Lowell Health Alliance.

 

This four day course gives parents the skills they need to ensure the future well-being of their teen by learning to communicate effectively.

 

The course will be facilitated by Ms. Kathy Bowen, Certified Life Empowerment Coach.

Sessions will be held on Oct 15, 22, 29, and Nov 5 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.at the First Parish Church United.

Pre-registration is required by Oct. 7 by contacting Westford Health Department Substance Abuse Prevention Coordinator Ray Peachey at rpeachey@westfordma.gov or by calling 978-399-2528.
