From Nabnasset to Forge Village, here are your Five Things for Oct. 7, 2014 in Westford.
#1. Meet Westford Academy Athletic Director… Dan Twomey on Wednesday Oct. 8 at 7:30 p.m. inside Clark’s Pub at the Westford Regency. He’ll be on hand with more information on how to be a Grey Ghost. Boosters will also be on hand to talk about information for upcoming events.
#2. There Will Be A Parent Support Group… on Tuesday, October 7, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Millennium School Building, 23 Depot St., (behind the Abbot School) in the Large All Purpose Room.  This monthly event offers support and education for parents challenged with raising children with mental health issues.  For questions call 978-692-5509.
#3. There’s a Well Child Clinic on Thursday, October 9, 7 to 8 a.m. at Pediatrics West, 133 Littleton Road. Immunizations and a physical examination are offered to children from infancy to school entry ages. Included in the exam are vision, hearing, blood pressure and urine tests. Lead screening done when appropriate. Physicals offered by pediatrician Dr. Andreas Athanasiou of Pediatrics West. This clinic is not for sick children. Residents are requested to make appointments at least one week in advance by calling 978-692-5509. Fee $5.
#4. Light Up The Night: Remembering Victims Of Violence- Westford Coalition for Non Violence in partnership with the Live for Liv Foundation, will be hosting a Domestic Violence program on Thursday Oct. 16 from 9 to 7 p.m. at St. Catherine’s in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Presentations will be followed by a candlelight vigil to remember those who have lost their lives to domestic violence this past year.

Earlier in the summer, a family was almost run over in the area.
