#1. Please be advised… that Governor Deval L. Patrick has ordered that the United States flag and the Commonwealth flag be lowered to half-staff at all state buildings from sunrise until sunset on Friday, October 3, 2014, in honor of Lt. Colonel Morris “Moose” Fontenot, Massachusetts Air National Guard, of Longmeadow, who was killed in an F-15C Eagle aircraft crash on August 27, 2014 near Deerfield Valley, VA.
This gubernatorial order applies to:
1. The main or administration building of each public institution of the Commonwealth, e.g. town and city halls
2. Other state-owned or state-controlled buildings
3. All state military installations
#2 . Lunch and Learn at Bridges by EPOCH at Westford (Oct. 7) –Bridges by EPOCH at Westford will host the lunch and learn, “Understanding the Basics of Dementia and Alzheimer’s,” on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at noon. The presentation will help families and caregivers understand what Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia are and what to expect when a loved one has been diagnosed.
All are welcome to attend this free lunch and learn, but space is limited. Call 978-692-9541 to RSVP or for more information. Guests are encouraged to bring their loved one to enjoy a meal with residents during the presentation.

#3. Pictured…On Sunday, Oct. 5, bring your kids to Kimball Farm for the annual Touch-A-Truck event. Admission is $5 per person, $15 maximum per family. All proceeds will benefit Westford Preschool at St. Mark’s.
#4. The First Anniversary of the Rangoli Grill…is on October 17, 2014 from 3 to 5 p.m. It’s hosted by the Nashoba Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Middlesex West Chamber of Commerce with State Representative Jim Arciero will be attending.
