The dating lives of today’s young people look vastly different than what was considered normal a generation or two ago. Technology plays a part, of course. Parents are unaware of so much of what happens in their kids’ lives because of technology, and the ways in which kids now communicate. How can parents be sure their teens are safe, particularly within their intimate relationships?

Join Maria Crooker, from Alternative House in Lowell, as she presents What Do Untitled-1Healthy Teen Relationships Look Like? on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at 6:30 p.m. at the Stony Brook Middle School, 9 Farmer Way, Westford. [Please note the earlier start time.] Unfortunately, too many teens experience dating violence. The abuse can be physical, sexual, or emotional, and can often go undetected. Maria will explain teen dating violence, and will then provide ways in which teens can protect themselves.

This presentation is a joint venture between the Westford Parent Connection and the Westford Coalition For Non-Violence. The event is free and open to the public. Parents and teens may attend together, if they are comfortable doing so.
