IMAN ZARRINKOUB

Iman Zarrinkoub, son of Mr. Houman Zarrinkoub and Mrs. Shaparak Lonning was named Student of the Month for November. Mrs. Patricia Brumbaugh, Iman’s Spanish IV Honors teacher, nominated him in the area of Academics. Mrs. Brumbaugh writes:

Iman Zarrinkoub has stood out this year for me in Spanish IV Honors because he is the quintessential honors student; he is always prepared, asks high-level questions and retains and applies what he has learned both in and outside of class is impressive. Iman consistently demonstrates that he wants to understand both how and why a language works. This student’s ability to debate and joke in the target language is really refreshing. I look forward to hearing about how foreign languages will undoubtedly influence his future because Iman is one gifted language student!

JAMES ANTONELLI

James Antonelli, son of Mr. & Mrs. James Antonelli was named Student of the Month for November. Head Varsity Football Coach, Adam Gagne, nominated James in the area

of Athletics. Coach Gagne writes: During the Month of November, Senior Captain James Antonelli helped lead the 2014 Football Team to three straight wins over Dual County Large opponents; which was capped off by a Thanksgiving Day victory over rival AB. The AB victory was only the fourth Thanksgiving WA victory since 1992. James’ leadership isn’t just evident on the field; he is a positive role model in the locker room, WA hallways, and in the classroom. James was a high honor roll student during term one this year.

JACK LEEBER, THEA LACERTE, MADDIE SERAPHIN, AND KARUN KANNAN

acerte, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Edward Lacerte, Maddie Seraphin, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Vinod Seraphin and Karun Kannan, son of Mr. & Mrs. Kannan Subramanian were named Students of the Month for November. Senior Class Advisors, Mrs. Emily Coates and Mr. Jeff Bunyon nominated them in the area of Co-Curricular. Mrs. Coates and Mr. Bunyon write:

The Class of 2015 officers, Jack Leeber, Thea Lacerte, Maddie Seraphin, and Karun Kannan have gone above and beyond while serving as class officers. They have helped to plan and implement numerous events over the past four years. Since September, they helped to make Back-to-School Movie Night, Mr. WA, Care Packages for the Troops, and the Senior Auction successful. Their hard work is an example of what makes Westford Academy a great school. Without their time, work ethic, and commitment to others the Senior Class would be at a loss.

CORRECTION: In the photo, Maddie is on the far left, not the far right.
