Local Music RocksWestfordCAT offers free training to all Westford residents or those who are employed in Westford. Learning video production can be really fun.  We show you how to produce a show or crew on one of our WestfordCAT productions. Our workshops cover such topics as camera usage, video editing, and studio production. To sign up for classes, please send an email to Anya Zulawnik at azulwnik@westfordcat.org.

The workshops start on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 6:30PM.

PRODUCERS ORIENTATION

We start with a station tour, give you an overview of all the services we offer to the community, go over some basic ground rules of working with our equipment and resources, and finish with signups for membership, basic and advanced training classes.

INTRODUCTION TO TRICASTER VIDEO SWITCHER

This class will teach you how to use our professional video switcher in our state-of-the-art  studio. You will learn how to record a talk show in a studio, add graphics and titles and how to use our green screen to personalize your production.

INTRODUCTION TO FINAL CUT X PRO

Sign up for this class to learn the basics of video editing on a Mac. In this class you will learn how to upload and edit your footage, add titles, adjust audio and add background music to complete your program.

INTRODUCTION TO JVC HD CAMERA

In this class you will learn basic video camera operations including focus, zoom, and white balance. Learn how to set up your camera to record to an SD card and how to attach variety of microphones for perfect audio
