The Catmobile, which offers low cost spay/neuter for cats only, is coming to the Cornerstone Square Petco in Westford on 4/29. For the month of April, Petsmart Charities is offering free spay/neuters & a rabies vaccination for all free roaming feral & stray cats. To take advantage of this offer, the “Community Cats” campaign must be mentioned when scheduling an appointment.
The Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society operates The Catmobile which is staffed by a licensed veterinarian and one veterinary technician. The package consists of spay/neuter, rabies vaccinations, exam, nail trim, and treatment for fleas and ear mites. Microchipping is available for $20. Individually packaged take-home flea treatment is available for $15 per dose.
The neuter package for male cats costs $80 and a female spay is $120. Reservations are required and can be made online at www.catmobile.org or by calling 978-465-1940.
