How Did Westford’s Runners Do In The Boston Marathon?

5:59 p.m. – It appears Ramesh Kare crossed the finish line a few minutes ago, he was the last runner from Westford to reach the finish line.

4:15 p.m. – Waiting for four more Westford runners, three others have no data or limited data. We’ll have a final update in about 90 minutes.

3:25 p.m. – Sorry folks, it’s been a little over an hour since our last update and 13 runners from Westford have reached the finish line. A few more are just about there.

We’ll be back later with more updates, it appears the last Westford finisher will end things around 5:30.

2:02 p.m. – Westford now has five finishers, with another three expected within the next half hour. All twenty runners with some data appear to have reached the halfway point, although we’re waiting on times for two of them.

Next update will be in about an hour.

1:48 p.m. – Desforge is across the line with a time of 3:18:38. Scott is about ten minutes out. Lori McInerny is about fifteen. Further back, Teresa Bolick is about to cross I-95, Raaj Mohaan has just entered Heartbreak Hill and the back of the pack is about to reach the halfway mark.

1:33 p.m. – Trotter finished with a time of 3:06:51. She’s the first female Westford finisher and the 439th female finisher overall. Widman was #806 for both genders.

Scott and Desforge should be finishing in a few minutes.

1:20 p.m. – Trotter is just minutes away from the finish line. Just over a dozen Westford runners are halfway through.

1:11 p.m. – Loghin crossed the finish line a few minutes ago. Trotter is about 20 minutes out.

1:01 p.m. – Loghin is approaching Kenmore Square, he should finish in about ten minutes. Our updates are probably going to slow from here on out.

12:50 p.m. – Bryan Widmann has crossed the finish line with an unofficial time of 2:48:51.

12:46 p.m. – Widmann is around Kenmore Square. He should finish any minute now….

12:43 p.m. – Widmann is almost there. Ablove passed the 10k mark, everybody’s past 10k now. More updates below.

12:36 p.m. – Lee Ablove is the last Westford runner that we are tracking to reach the 10k mark, she’s getting close. We have no information on the final two Westford runners: Katie Schroth and Sunder Singhani.

Widmann is approaching Fenway Park.

12:29 p.m. – We have six runners (plus possibly Garcia) past I-95, another few about to reach the halfway mark. The ETA on Widmann reaching the finish line is about 15 minutes. The back of the Westford pack has an ETA around 4 p.m.

12:23 p.m. – Widmann is slowing, but not by very much. He’s about ten minutes ahead of Loghin.

12:19 p.m. – Widmann is around Boston College, seven Westford runners have passed the halfway mark (we have no updates on Garcia, but assume there are technical difficulties.)

No information on the final two runners.

12:13 p.m. – More updates from the back of the pack, Widmann is on track to finish about half an hour from now, the overall male leaders just crossed the finish line.

12:08 p.m. – Still waiting on the last two runners, Widmann just entered Heartbreak Hill. The first few runners from the women’s race just passed the finish line minutes ago.

12:03 p.m. – Desforge is now past the halfway mark, he’s the fifth (still waiting on data for Garcia.) More information coming in another minute or two.

12:01 p.m. – Here’s what it looks like on the BAA Map of the Westford runners. We have some more updates from further back.

11:55 a.m. – Now 20 Westford runners have passed the 5k mark. The lead runners in the race are in the final stretch.

11:51 a.m. – Widmann will reach Heartbreak Hill in about 10 minutes, Loghin is about to reach the 25k mark.

11:48 a.m – Several more runners have reached the 5k mark, only eight Westford runners have not reached that point yet and they probably will be soon.

11:44 a.m. – More updates from further back, Graham and McInerny are past the 15k mark now. Updates will be coming rapidly for the next hour or so.

11:40 a.m. – Widmann is past the 25k mark. He’s on pace to finish around
12:45 p.m. The lead runners overall are about half an hour ahead of him.

11:37 a.m. – Loghin is past the halfway mark, he’s on pace to finish around 1:07 p.m.

11:33 a.m. – Desforge is past the 15k mark, the leaders are in Wellesley.

11:31 a.m. – Loghin is about two minutes ahead of Garcia for the second best Westford time. More Westford runners should be reaching the 5k mark any moment.

11:28 a.m. – Thu Lewin has now passed the 5k mark. The womens’ wheelchair race ended earlier this hour, the Red Sox game is also underway.

11:25 a.m. – Widmann has passed the halfway mark. No information yet on the other two male leaders. Trotter is leaving Natick and it appears there will be more updates further back coming soon.

11:22 a.m. – We’ve got an update on Widmann, he’s past the 20k mark with a time of 1:18:48.

11:19 a.m. – Bethany Knoettner has just passed the 5k mark, her time is 25:19. No word yet on the three male Westford leaders, but Trotter appears to be moving forward. It may be a technical problem with the tracking software on the men, but we cannot confirm this.

11:16 a.m. – Susan Bourque has passed the 5k mark, the eighth Westford runner to do so. Still no updates from the head of the Westford pack.

11:08 a.m. – Loghin has just passed the 15k mark, but we don’t have information on times from the three front runners yet. The second wave of Westford runners is nearing the 10k mark.

11:04 a.m. – According to information from the Boston Athletic Association, Widmann has stopped at the 15k mark. Garcia is about to catch up.

10:58 a.m. – Widmann will be in Natick Center in a few minutes. He’s about to break the 15k mark. The third wave of runners have just begun the race.

10:54 a.m. – Now Graham Scott is past the 5k mark. Widman is approaching 15k, he’ll be there in a few minutes.

10:53 a.m. – Trotter is past the 10k mark, Peter Desforge and Lori McInerny have passed the 5k mark.

10:50 a.m. – Widman is just about to leave Framingham. Marcel Hug of Switzerland has just won the men’s wheelchair race.

10:45 a.m. – Garcia is now past the 10k mark, as is Loghin.

10:42 a.m. – Widmann is actually getting faster, he’s run 10 kilometers in just over half an hour.

10:40 a.m. – Widmann is about to reach the 10k mark, Garcia is around a minute behind. Loghin is a few minutes further back.

10:30 a.m. – Jill Trotter becomes the first Westford woman passing the 5k mark. Widmann is maintaining the lead among the male runners for Westford, they’re heading into Framingham.

10:27 a.m. – Colin Loghin is now past the 5k mark, with a time of 21:48

10:25 a.m. – James Garcia and Bryan Widmann have passed the 5k mark, they’re around a six minute mile pace so far.
