Westford Academy alumnus Samantha Hyslip was named  the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Year by the conference’s 15 women’s basketball head coaches.
Currently a freshman at Stonehill College, Hyslip played all 25 games for the Skyhawks and was named Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week on three occasions.
This season, Hyslip averaged 6.9 points and 5.1 rebounds per game, shooting 48.8 percent from the field and 80.7 percent from the free-throw line.
Hyslip scored over 1,000 points during her tenure at Westford Academy, earning All-Dual County League honors three times and winning the Dual County League MVP award twice.
