The Westford Friends of Recreation is looking for help. Recently they announced that they are looking to an additional one to two members for their board.

Applicants for the position that have marketing, advertising, fundraising and legal experience are preferred, but anyone that wishes to improve recreational activities in Westford is welcome to apply.

If interested, a form is available at westfordfriendsofrecreation.org/volunteer.

The Friends also are looking for help with special projects such as town-wide mailings. In particular, they need help with graphic design like this recent logo produced by Westford Academy student Dylan Crocker (pictured). Anyone interested can e-mail info@westfordfriendsofrecreation.org

In related news, the Westford Parks and Recreation Commission has an opening for an alternate position. There is typically one board meeting per month, none in the summer, and there are no prerequisite requirements.

Anyone interested in applying is encouraged to fill out a citizen activity form at the town website.
