Thursday, May 21 at 7 p.m. at the J.V. Fletcher Library In an age where so much of our lives are spent online, it’s starting to feel like our privacy is being eradicated. Alison Macrina, a librarian and privacy rights activist, will introduce an online privacy toolkit that offers some basic solutions to help subvert digital spying. Â These tools address things like search tracking, encryption, password protection, secure deletion of temporary files, secure browsing, online anonymity and more. Â Participants are welcome (but not required) to bring their laptops or smart devices to follow along and download the tools as they are demonstrated. Free! Â Drop-in. Open to ages sixteen and up.
