Portions of Nabnasset Lake will be closed until Thursday morning due to herbicide treatments.
The chemical treatment will occur on Wednesday, May 27 to attack the invasive non-native curlyleaf pondweed and milfoil weed species.

The entire lake will be closed on Wednesday and swimming, fishing and boating can resume on Thursday.
Using the lake for drinking, irrigation or watering lifestock is prohibited for five days.
This work is being done by the Nabnasset Lake Preservation Association in accordance with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and Aquatic Control Technology of Sutton.
