The Westford Water Department has begun its annual water restriction this week, which will continue until Oct. 31
Currently the restrictions are voluntary, but the Water Department is asking residents to minimize outdoor water usage by complying to an “odd/even schedule.”
Specifically, odd numbered houses using outdoor watering on odd numbered days and vice versa.
These limitations to not pertain to outdoor water uses related to health or safety, agriculture, those required to operate a business, or specific legal regulations.
The town is also requesting all residents fill their swimming pools by June 1.
