As the Central New England Baseball Association playoffs approach, the Westford Willows have to ask just what type of team they’ll have if they can reach the postseason.

Their back and forth play continued over the past week, going 3-3, remaining in sixth place.

The Willows sported a pair of impressive wins in a July 11th home doubleheader against Worcester, putting up a close win against Ronnie’s of Worcester next day in the first part of another home doubleheader.

However, Ronnie’s trounced the Willows 13-4 in the second part of the twin bill, with Westford also chalking up recent losses to the Framingham A’s and the Lunenburg Phillies.

Westford now enters the home stretch of the CNEBA regular season, with a 6 p.m. contest against the Shrewsbury Dirt Dogs at Westford Academy on Thursday, July 16 followed by weekend road contests against Blackstone Valley, Ronnie’s and a Monday rematch against the Dirt Dogs in Shrewsbury.
