After 14 years, Tina Marcouillier knew she finally found a diet program that worked for her and wanted to share what she found with the world. Over the past few months, she’s been getting her chance here in Westford.

In October 2014, Marcoullier opened PT Fitstyle Ideal Weight Loss: a personal training and nutritional studio on Littleton Road near Kimball Farm that she hopes can serve as a template for those seeking to share her journey into a more healthy life.

Once overweight herself, Marcoullier discovered the Ideal Weight Loss Method: a philosophy developed in France that focuses on preventing insulin overproduction and helping the body employ energy through its own fat reserves through a four-phase protocol that emphasizes protein.

Marcoullier eventually became a certified personal trainer and got a job as a personal trainer in Chelmsford, a position she held for four years. However, she believed that Ideal Weight Loss had been the key to her transformation, but could not let others know without a conflict of interest.”

“I just felt working for someone else, I really didn’t feel like I could share this product,” she said. “I felt the only way I could do that is go out on my own.”

In addition to her experience as a personal trainer, Marcoullier also earned certification as a nutrition coach, although she stresses that she is not officially a nutritionist. However, she believes she can help keep clients accountable, even if they use a system other than Ideal Weight Loss, such as Atkins or South Beach.

Marcoullier also provides healthy cooking demonstrations on the last Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. and hosts home cooking parties for $15.
