Boys’ U10 Team Seven 6, Boys’ U10 Team Ten 0

Submitted by Shaun Driscoll

The Westford Wizards improved their record to 5 wins 2 losses 1 tie. with a 6-0 win v. Westford Team10 in BU10 play.
Jayson Lamprey scored 2 goals, Kyle Fan 2, Gabriel Mclaren, and Shaun Driscoll had one each.
Other than Shaun’s goal, which was a nice corner that bounced in off their goal keeper, all of our goals were the result of effort. We had excellent play in the opposing offensive zone, and did well in the defensive zone keeping our goalies from having to make many if not any saves.
Vincent Buanacore showed the most improvement from week to week with excellent positioning and spirited runs.
Jonathan Coughlin made several nice passes and was our best two-way (offense and defense) player, keeping the ball moving.
Jayson and Gabriel played well on offense, Vaibhav Singh, Yash Sawhney, Christopher Marcus and Aamir Kapasi played well all over the field, with Aamir also playing in the net in the second half. Shaun was untested in net in the first half and played well in the field in the second half.
We also scored 2 goals as a direct result of nice corner kicks from Shaun. Jayson scored one off Shaun’s kick in the first half and Shaun scored directly off of one of his kicks in the second half.
