At the Academy Awards, Lady Gaga issued a challenge to college acapella groups to stand against sexual assault and one Westford resident has decided to take up the challenge.

Westford Academy Graduate and former WestfordCAT volunteer Natalie Bishop is now a sophomore at Hobart and William Smith Colleges and her acapella group recently performed a rendition of Gaga’s song about sexual assault, “‘Til It Happens To You.”

The song was originally featured in a documentary on campus rape entitled “The Hunting Ground.”

As of the first week of March, the video has already received more than 150,000 views on YouTube, which can be seen below.

More information on the movement related to the song can be found at The Hunting Ground’s website.
