The KDK Memorial Foundation first visited the Westford Food Pantry, located in the Cameron Senior Center, over the holidays to lend our support. We were not surprised to learn that the pantry was receiving a hearty supply from the community during these months. Throughout our tour of the pantry we learned that outside of these peak months perishable and nonperishable donations taper off but the need still remains high. We are excited to be able to offer our support to the Westford Food Pantry with a significant donation this month.
Additionally, we recently had the pleasure to partner with Westford Parks & Recreation for the second year to provide scholarship money geared to offset the cost of summer camps for local youth. We have also provided similar donations during the school year to offer afterschool scholarships through the recreation department.
It is with thanks to our donors that we are privileged to assist local programming in our community. Supporting community programming is just one aspect of our foundation.
