The Westford Women’s Club organized in 1976 is celebrating 40 years as a club serving Westford and surrounding Communities.       Â
Ceremonies are planned for Monday, October 24 to be held at Cameron Senior Center at 7 p.m. Guests will include three charter members of the club as well as  state Rep. James Arciero (D-Westford) who will deliver citations from the House of Representatives and the governor’s office.  Claire Schneider, owner of Classic Travel in Westford and the founder of the club will be among the guests. Following photos and refreshments Ellen Harde, Westford Town Moderator, will be guest speaker for the evening followed by the club business meeting.

The Westford Women’s Club, which is affiliated with the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, works to provide local scholarships, support domestic violence shelters and other charities while providing social opportunities for its members.
On Tuesday, Oct. 18 members of the club worked with residents at Bridges to make stars for veterans as a part of the Stars for Our Troops project. Â The stars are donated to the Department of Veterans Services for distribution to both active duty military as well as veterans.
