Downsizing, Windows of Opportunity
with Cathy Cunningham of Coldwell Bankers
Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 6 p.m.
Downsizing is a daunting task. Cunningham shares her personal story as well as her professional experience in assisting families with downsizing. Held at the Cameron Senior Center. Residents are asked to RSVP by calling 978-692-5523.

 

Concord Players presents ‘BLYTHE SPIRIT’

This comic play was written by Noel Coward and it is about “Charles and his second wife who are haunted by his first wife, Elvira. Medium Madame Arcati tries to help things out by contacting the ghost.”  Cost of this trip/play is $25. Attendees will travel by van to Concord on Sunday, Feb. 19 for a matinee performance. The van will depart from the Cameron Senior Center, 20 Pleasant St., Westford, at 12:45 p.m. Residents are asked to RSVP by calling 978-692-5523.

 

SPECIAL PROGRAM OFFERING: HEALTHY EATING ON A BUDGET

Location: Cameron Senior Center Kitchen, 20 Pleasant Street
Instructor: Julie Shepherd
Free nutrition education and cooking class to help seniors stay healthy, eat right, and choose an active lifestyle. Instructor will guide seniors through fun, hands-on activities during the 1.5-hour program. Topics include basic nutrition guidelines, chronic disease prevention, healthy meal planning on a limited budget, and food safety. The course will teach the benefits of eating fruits and vegetables and being physically active daily.  Free. Residents are asked to register online at roudenbush.org.

 

Trip to Iceland with Collette Travel

Tuesday, March 7 at 3 p.m.

Residents are invited to come to the Cameron Senior Center and hear about Iceland: Land of Fire & Ice trip running Sept. 24- Oct. 2.  Places of interest will include Reykjavik, Golden Circle, journey to the Gullfoss waterfall, Lava cave. Learn the 400-year tradition of catching and preserving Greenland shark and so much more.  The informational program will outline the and experiences offered by this Icelandic  journey. PARKER’S SUGAR MAPLE BARN LUNCHEON-

Fox Trip Tour date: Tuesday, March 21, 2017
Depart from the Franco American Club, West Prescott Street at 9:15 a.m.
Participants will visit Bolton Orchards Farm Store, and then travel to Mason, New Hampshire, and Parker’s Maple Barn for an authentic Parker’s Maple Sugar Feast.  Lunch will include two scrambled eggs and bacon, sausage and a slice of maple ham accompanied with pancakes and original maple syrup. Enjoy beverage choice options which include coffee/tea and orange juice. The group will then travel to nearby Winchendon for a tour of and cheese tasting at Smith’s Country Cheese shop. Participants will return home at 4:30 p.m. Cost $72 per person.  Residents are encouraged to seek information by calling 978-692-5523.
HOLI Celebration
Wednesday, March 15 at 11 a.m.
Holi the Hindu Spring Festival in India and Nepal is also known as the Festival of Colors or the Festival of Sharing Love.
Participants will have lunch of Chicken Tikka Masala, Rice, Kidney Beans, Nan and Samosa. After lunch they will make a special craft reflective of this celebration of letting go and laughing.
Participants are asked to wear a bright color or two or three.
