State Rep. James Arciero joined with Lt. Governor Karyn Polito in announcing the Complete Streets Funding for the Westford in the amount of $399,860. The Complete Streets Funding program supports projects that will improve safety, ADA accessibility, pedestrian and bike mobility, transit access and operations, as well as vehicular and freight operations.

Westford’s funding will be dedicated to the design costs for pedestrian improvements to Westford Town Center, construction of a sidewalk to connect Concord Road near Robinson School, and the reconstruction of a pedestrian crossing at North Main Street near the Norman E. Day School.

Westford Town Manager Jodi Ross attended and accepted the grant awards.  Attending the ceremony were State Senator Jamie Eldridge and State Senator Eileen Donoghue who are not pictured due to being called away for a formal session of the State Senate.

“It is always gratifying when state and municipal government can come together in a way which will positively impact communities…I believe this investment in our communities will only improve the quality of life of those living in these towns,” said Arciero.
