The Nabnasset section of Westford is without electricity this morning, April 7, including the local Post Office at 62 Brookside Road, which is buttoned up for the time being.

Nab One Stop Shop at 60 Brookside Road remains open and has power, although it’s not clear why.

The electricity supplier, National Grid, is reporting that 1,824 customers are affected, primarily in Westford from Route 3 southwest to Villa Nova Drive, and from a few streets beyond Plain Road northwest to parts of Route 40.

The area off Route 40 in Chelmsford is affected also.

The outage began at around 11 a.m. Power is expected to resume at around 1 p.m., according to the National Grid website.
