Roudenbush’s Fall Town Wide Yard Sale & Fundrive
Saturday, Sept. 22, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Attention Bargain Hunters! The whole town is having a yard sale on Saturday, Sept. 22 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants can visit the homes around town as well as the Abbot School’s, front lawn, at 25 Depot Street. Home addresses will be listed on the Roudenbush website, and paper copies will be available at the Abbot School on the sale day. Town maps are available at Roudenbush for $3, and will also be available at the Abbot School on day of the sale. Residents wanting to register for a table at Abbot or a home sale, can visit roudenbush.org
HELP US RAISE FUNDS FOR OUR COMMUNITY – To donate to the Fundrive, bags of clothes and household items can be dropped off at the Abbott School between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22. Starting Small and Making it Big. The Roudenbush Community Center offers residents a chat with Bill Cummings of Cummings Properties about his recently published memoir on Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 8:30 a.m. The memoir is titled “Starting Small and Making It Big: An Entrepreneur’s Journey to Billion-Dollar Philanthropist.” This event will be held at The First Parish Church, 48 Main St. Westford. The cost is $20 per person which includes, breakfast and a copy of Cummings’ book, which can be signed at the event. Registration is limited. Residents are asked to register at roudenbush.org/upcoming-events. Once registered you may pick up your copy of the book at the Roudenbush Community Center. Ellen Harde’s RoudenBUS Tour of Westford
Saturday, Oct. 20, 1 – 2:30 p.m.
The bus tour takes place Saturday, Oct. 20, 1 to 2:30 p.m. at 73 Main St., Frost School. The bus will travel off Westford’s main roads. Participants will learn about conservation, recreation spots and Westford’s 289 years of history from farm town to mill town to the Westford of today. Tour guide Ellen Harde is a 50-year resident and co-author of the League of Woman Voters slide-tape history and book, “Westford – A Sense of Community.” Register for this event online at roudenbush.org $7 Resident/$5 Student. The Halloween Parade

FREE EVENT! Join us Sunday, Oct. 28, 1 start, 2 p.m. parade at 73 Main St. The annual parade starts at Frost School and goes around Westford common, led by the Famous Pooh Bear. Come decorate pumpkin buckets and enjoy cider and donuts. The first 100 children in costumes will receive a Halloween goodie bag. Residents can call 978-496-1707 for more information.
