Westford Academy Theater Arts presents THE ADDAMS FAMILY – A NEW MUSICAL by Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice, with music and lyrics Lyrics by Andrew Lippa, and directed by Luke Jorgensen. Performances run Oct. 31 through Nov. 11. A special preview performance will be presented on Halloween Night at 6:30 p.m. General seating tickets are available for $10 on this date only. The magnificently macabre musical comedy, THE ADDAMS FAMILY – A NEW MUSICAL will open on Halloween at Westford Academy. This award winning production promises to delight audiences with humor, an original story, song and dance, and all your favorite Addams Family characters.
In the spooky upside-down world of the Addams Family, a grave crisis is brewing. It is every father’s worst nightmare but in reverse. Daughter Wednesday, the ultimate Princess of Darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a “normal” young man, Lucas Beineke, from a quite respectable Ohio family—not even remotely fiendish. Worse, the romance seems to have turned the steadfastly gloomy Addams girl downright cheery, leaving her family very worried and distressed. Comic chaos reigns when they host a dinner for Wednesday’s new boyfriend and his parents so they can become better acquainted with the entire Addams family.
A band of spirited ancestors from diverse past generations also haunt the scenes. Their singing and dancing, like that of the main characters, is a special treat. This show is suitable for the entire family.
Additional performances will be held Friday, Nov. 2, Saturday, Nov. 3, Thursday, Nov. 8 and Saturday, Nov. 10 at 7:30 p.m. Matinee performances will be Saturday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. and Sunday Nov. 11 at 5 p.m. Veterans admitted free on Nov. 11th. Student night will be held on Nov. 8, and all Westford Academy students will be admitted for $10.
Tickets are available online at mktix.com/wata. Adults tickets are $18, and student and senior tickets are $14. Family Package (two adults and two students/seniors) tickets cost $50, and matinee tickets are $14.
