Students and staff at Nashoba Valley Technical High School’s in-school restaurant, The Elegant Chef, resumed their winning ways, taking first place at the annual Taste of Middlesex Food, Beer & Wine Expo, held recently at the Boxborough Regency.

The Elegant Chef, consistent winners at the annual Taste of Nashoba, hosted every March by the Nashoba Valley Chamber of Commerce, took the award for Best Dessert and tied for second for Best Presentation.

The dessert was a decadent, yet gluten-free, Baked Hot Chocolate.

Among the dozens of local restaurants competing were Evviva Cucina, Minuteman Grille, Concord’s Colonial Inn, Clark’s Pub, Burton’s Grill, Kimball Farm and The Outlook Restaurant.

Representing Nashoba Tech were Chef-Instructor Carley Capraro, Culinary Arts students Zelene Berry (sophomore, Littleton), Dylan Bourassa (senior, Shirley), Jayson Ducharme (senior, Chelmsford) and Brianna Schmoyer (junior, Harvard), and Hospitality Management student Cory Prehl (sophomore, Ayer).
