Holiday Hours: The Library will be open on Monday, Dec. 31 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 1.  and will reopen on Wednesday, Jan. 2 at 10 a.m.

Sunday Hours: Resume on Sunday, Jan. 6 through Sunday, April 28. On Sundays the Library is open from 2 to 5 p.m.

4th Annual 9-Hole Mini Golf in the Library: Thursday, Dec. 28 from 11 to 3 p.m. A nine hole (and a bonus hole) mini-golf course all over the library. Here is something to do with the whole family during the holiday break. This free drop-in program is funded by the KDK Memorial Foundation (in honor of Kurt Kelly).

U.S. Global Engagement and the Military: Thursday, Jan. 3 at 7 p.m. The global power balance is rapidly evolving, leaving the U.S. at a turning point. Some argue for “America First,” while others call for a more assertive posture overseas. Some advocate restoring American multilateral leadership and strengthening diplomacy. Still others envision a restrained U.S. role. Expert Keith West has been involved with speech and debate for nearly two decades. He will discuss how the military functions in today’s international order. FREE! Adult Nonfiction Book Club: Tue., Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. Is truth stranger than fiction? Is it more entertaining? Find out when the Adult Nonfiction Book Club meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Mary Atwood Room. Dates and book titles can be found on the website and at the Information Desk. The Jan. 8 book discussion will be The Professor and the Madman by Simon Winchester. Copies are available at Main Desk. No registration required.

 Student Tuition Payment Plan: Thursday, Jan. 10 at 6:30 p.m. This class will review your different options for paying the college bill, ranging from loans to payment plans to other strategies. Financial coach T. Jack Wang will review the pros and cons of each option so patrons can decide which is best for their family. Intended for parents of high school seniors. FREE! Patrons can register online or they can call the Information Services Department at 978-399-2304.

J.V. Fletcher Adult Book Club: Thursday, Jan. 10 at 7:30 p.m. The book club will discuss Crash Override by Zoe Quinn.  Copies of the current reading selection are available for check-out at the Main Desk. New members are always welcome. No registration required.
