Student officers Helen Zhou and Yiwen Xiong introduce the community to Latin Club at Westford Academy.
When host Morgan Freud asked why someone would want to join, Zhou said, “it gives a different perspective on Latin than your class would.” [Continue below]
Zhou said the academic class focuses on vocabulary, reading and grammar. The club is more cultural.
Xiong said the club is open to anyone at the high school, whether or not they take Latin.
We’re open to anyone who’s willing to join and willing to learn more about the Roman empire or just European history in general,” said Xiong
The club advisor is Colleen Chausse.
