Sen. Ed Kennedy will be hosting a special presentation on climate change with Senator Marc Pacheco, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Global Warming and Climate Change.

When: Wednesday, July 10; 6 to 8 p.m.

Where: The Richard and Nancy Donahue Family Academic Arts Building at Middlesex Community College, 240 Central St., Lowell

The recent flooding that has become commonplace in coastal regions of the commonwealth and the abnormal climate patterns of recent years seen around the globe illustrate the urgency surrounding this issue, and demonstrates to all of us that swift action is needed.

As the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Global Warming and Climate Change, Senator Pacheco has been one of the Massachusetts Legislature’s foremost experts on climate change, helping to position the commonwealth as a national leader on climate change mitigation and climate resiliency policy. Meaningful action to address the impact of climate change will depend on cooperation and collaborative efforts at the federal, state, and local levels.

Parking available on the street or in the Early Garage at 135 Middlesex Street.
