The Westford Highway Department will collect styrofoam containers from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19.
This collection is open to ANYONE or ANY business.
ACCEPTED
*Bulk, pre-formed packing and coolers, must display #6 symbol. White only.
*Insulation board, aka Owens Foamular (pink) or Dow Styrofoam (blue board), will display #6 symbol.
*Spongy foam, white or clear only. Will display # 4 symbol.
NOT ACCEPTED
Styrofoam food containers, including cups, meat trays, and packing peanuts.
Sponsored by First Parish Church United, Westford, MA. Green Action Team.
Donations accepted to defray cost for transportation.
Those who miss the Westford collection date, will have an opportunity to discard items on Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Ayer Recycling Event, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. To learn what is accepted, Westford residents can check: recycleyourreusables.files.wordpress.com/2019/08/poster.pdf  and note the drop off address is Bemis Associates in Shirley.
The Highway Department is located at 28 North St.
