From the moment Westford Community Access Television learned that Covid-19 had hit in early 2020, the staff was relied upon more than ever for town communications. As everyone began to navigate virtual meeting platforms, WCAT learned just what it meant to be an essential service. While offices, stores and streets went still, WesttfordCAT’s coverage of town committee meetings, health updates, news, social services and stories about arts, history, culture and more continued and grew.
