State Rep. James Arciero was recently sworn into a seventh term as a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Representing the towns of Chelmsford, Littleton and Westford, the swearing-in ceremony was remotely held by Governor Baker from the House chamber.

“I look forward to continuing to serve and represent the citizens of my district. Last year was an extremely tough time for the citizens of Massachusetts with the Covid pandemic’s impact on public health, social interaction and the economy.

Tough times continue to lie ahead, but with new leadership of the Massachusetts House under Speaker Ronald Mariano, I am confident that the Legislature, in cooperation with Governor Baker, will continue to effectively address the many negative impacts of Covid on our state and its citizens.

This new session will focus on rebuilding the state’s economy, reducing unemployment, balancing the budget and efficiently distributing the vaccinations as quickly as possible. I am once again honored by the support of the citizens who have sent me back to Beacon Hill to represent them in the legislature.”

Arciero was first elected in 2008 and most recently served as a member of the budget-writing Ways and Means Committee and as Vice Chair of the Joint Committee on Higher Education.
