Before kicking off the 2021 Graduation ceremony, on June 5, Westford Academy Principal James Antonelli called for a moment of silence to honor the passing of Robert Herrmann a long time contributor to the town, most recently as chair of the Zoning Board of Appeals, and as a member of the board of trustees for WA.
Antonelli also noted that Superintendent Everett V. Olsen will retire on June 30 after 36 years of service to the Westford School Department, including 15 as superintendent.
“What an accomplishment. Superintendent Olsen, you have lived by the motto of shaping the future one child at a time,” Antonelli said. “You have been steadfast in your commitment.”
