Westford Recycling Commission
Volunteer members of the Westford Recycling Commission will show residents how to compost organic material. Composting diverts food wastes from the trash and reduces the high cost of Westford’s trash collection which increased 9% this year. Organic material can represent up to 20% of the weight of our trash, and composting is a powerful tool to reduce Westford’s trash.
Earth Machines composters will be available to Westford residents at the demonstrations for only $25.
Location: Old Highway Department Yard at 30 Beacon Street in Graniteville, Westford.
