Family Concert with Steve Blunt: Tuesday, July 27 at 10:30 a.m. There are good reasons why we keep having Steve back to our library – he is a lot fun and a great time! Paint a Puppy Portrait with Raquel: Wednesday, July 28 at 11 a.m. or 1 p.m. – All supplies will be provided. Choose one session, sessions are offered at 11:00 or 1:00. Virtual Galápagos Adventure: Thursday, July 29 at 7 p.m. The Galápagos are one of the world’s most isolated archipelagos. Approximately 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador, this collection of volcanic islands are a nature lover’s dream. Through the process of natural selection, the Galapagos are teaming with endemic species found nowhere else on earth. Scott Santino from MA Audubon will lead a virtual tour across many of the larger islands and feature giant tortoises, marine iguanas, flightless cormorants, Darwin’s finches, and penguins swimming in Pacific waters along the equator. Virtual Wicked Good Harry Potter Challenge Trivia with the Trivia Brothers Saturday, July 31 at 6:00 p.m. This was such an amazing experience last summer that the KDK Foundation is sponsoring it again for us this year in honor of Kurt Kelly. The Trivia Brothers turn this virtual event into an amusement park-like experience that you won’t forget. Using a Choose your Own Adventure type format, the audience decides what Hogwarts locations we visit and what we do while there. There will be tough trivia questions based on where we choose to go along with theme music, movie clips, sound effects, and FLYING. Register for this program through the Library Events Calendar.

Tips for Training, Understanding, and Speaking Dog with Bonnie Ober from Bark Busters: Wed., August 4 at 3:00 p.m. Bonnie and her dog will demonstrate some training tips and provide insight for understanding our dogs and their behavior. Virtual Life at Sea: A Voyage in Song with David Coffin: Thu., August 5 at 7 p.m. Explore the life of a sailor, a whaler, a fisherman, and hear the songs that illustrate the life they pursued at sea! Sing along with musician David Coffin on a shanty (work song) as we ‘hoist’ the sails, ‘haul’ on the lines, and stamp around the capstan. And just what is a press-gang, a belaying pin, a fo’c’sle, a baggywrinkle, or a shellback? Learn what it takes to cross the line and double the horn. Virtual Qigong Class: every Mon. from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Dvora Eisenstein leads this free recurring Qigong class on Zoom. Qigong is an ancient Chinese health care system integrating slow movements, breathing techniques, and focused intention. Qigong calms your mind, improves your balance, and enhances health.
