Special Town Meeting, held on the Trustees field at Westford Academy on Oct. 16, barely met a required quorum of 200 just before the 1 p.m. start time.
With only nine articles to act upon, voters fulfilled their requirement by just after 2 p.m. There were budget adjustments, capital appropriations, and a revolving fund to decide.
Only article 9, seeking to restrict motorboats on Keyes pond, prompted debate.
It was Keyes Road resident Bruce Bunker who brought his request to select board members, earlier this year. He said he worried about pollutants affecting the body of water.
Although debated, Bunker’s measure passed 110 to 83.
