Snap Circuits for Grades 3-5: Fri., Dec. 10 at 3:30 p.m.in the Meeting Room. Explore and play with our Snap Circuits kits and make connections that whir, spin, light up, move, and buzz! We own a variety of kits: R/C Car, Green Energy, Motion, Light, Arcade, 3-D Illumination, and Snap Circuits Junior for beginners. Please register online from the Library Events Calendar .

Virtual Holiday Sing Along with Steve Blunt, Wed., Dec. 15 at 10:30 a.m.: Celebrate the season with musician Steve Blunt – we’ll be ringing jingle bells, dancing, and singing along. This virtual program is for all ages and is funded by the Friends of the J.V. Fletcher Library. Please register through the Library Events Calendar.

Virtual Westford Job Seekers Meeting: Wed., Dec. 15 at 3 p.m.: Join us for “Job Search Trivia” with Cheryl Landes. To attend a WJS Meeting, please email Dina Kanabar at dkanabar@westfordma.gov.  Attendees will receive a link to access the Zoom Meeting via email. Weekly topics may be found on our job seekers web page.

Chess Club: Sat., Dec. 18 – TIME CHANGE – from 1:30 to 3 p.m. For kids in grades 3 to 5 who are interested in playing chess and who already know the basic moves, or are an advanced player. Drop in and find an opponent (or bring one with you). We provide the game sets, you bring the challenge. Space is limited to 40 players (that is how many sets we have). You are welcome to bring your own pieces if you prefer. This program is generously funded by the Friends of the J.V. Fletcher library. Program takes place in the Meeting Room unless otherwise noted; please register through the Library Events Calendar. Caregivers must remain in the building for kids under age 10. This program is for Westford residents and out of town FAMILY-level members of the Friends of the J.V. Fletcher Library.

Teen and Tween Make & Take Crafternoon: Mon., Dec. 20, 3:30-4:30 p.m. Learn to make pop-up greeting cards for friends and family! Extra cards will also be donated to those in need. This program is for teens and tweens in grades 5 and up.  No registration required.

6th Annual 9-Hole Mini Golf in the Library: Wed., Dec. 29 from 11 to 3 p.m. It’s back – a nine hole (and a bonus hole) mini-golf course all over the library – here is something to do with the whole family during the holiday break. Please register your group for one of the available half hour time slots to keep this event socially distanced and safe. This free program is once again generously funded by the KDK Memorial Foundation (in honor of Kurt Kelly).

Discovery Museum: Explore science, nature, and play in a big old tree house. Our Friends funded pass admits up to 3 people based on availability. Check out our website or call the Library for reservations.
