Library Offers Curbside Pickup and Drop-Off

Concerned about Covid?: If you would like to enjoy Library items but are concerned about coming into the building, partake of our Curbside service.  Call the Main desk and we will bring your items down to the back entrance.  Not sure what to read next? We also offer “Book Bundles” for kids and tweens and “Grab and Go“ bags for our adult patrons. You don’t even to leave the comfort of your own home to download/stream a huge collection of e-books, e-audio books, movies, television shows, music, and even comic books. Check out Overdrive, Hoopla, and Kanopy for an ever expanding collection of digital items.

Virtual Monday Mystery Book Club: Mon. Jan. 24 at 2:00 p.m. (new start time!) We’ll be discussing The Brutal Telling by Louise Penny. Please note that starting in January, we’ll meet from 2:00 to 3:00. Print copies are available at Main Desk, the ebook and digital audiobook are on Overdrive, and the audiobook is also on Hoopla. Virtual Westford Job Seekers Meeting: Wed., Jan.26 at 3:00 p.m.: Join us for “Laugh For the Fun of It” with Trevor Smith. To attend a WJS Meeting, please email Dina Kanabar at dkanabar@westfordma.gov.  Attendees will receive a link to access the Zoom Meeting via email. Weekly topics may be found on our job seekers web page.

Virtual Pajama Storytime: Mon., Jan. 31 at 6:30 p.m.: Pajama Time meets once a month on a Monday evening for children ages 3 to 7. Register for each night separately up to 6 pm. Get into those pajamas and grab a favorite stuffed animal or blanket and Zoom in. Please register through the Library Events Calendar.

Virtual Adult Nonfiction Book Club: Tue. Feb. 1 at 7:00 p.m. We’ll discuss The Pentagon’s Brain by Annie Jacobsen. Copies are available at Main Desk. Email Charles Schweppe at cschweppe@westfordma.gov for Zoom details!

Virtual Mother Goose: Thu., Feb. 3 at 10:30 a.m.: Mother Goose is an interactive story time for children ages 0 and up with their caregivers. We do just about everything virtually that we do when you join us outside – just more up close and personal. We have pop up books, songs, a field trip, and Poppy of course! Our large screen studio set up let us interact with you and your children so please join us and help us make those LONG winter weeks a little better.  Please register for this program through the Library Events Calendar. We will move the program outside as soon as weather permits – we will keep you posted!

Virtual Indian Cuisine Made Easy: Thu., Feb. 10 at 7:00 p.m. Want to learn how to cook popular Indian dishes? Let Sandhya Jain from Sandhya’s Kitchen teach you! She’ll teach you how to make both saag paneer and a rice pilaf infused with aromatic spices. Register through the Library Events Calendar. Questions? Email Sarah Regan at sregan@westfordma.gov.
