WPD’s Learn To Skate Cancelled Following Unseasonably Warm Weather

The Westford Police Department’s “Learn To Skate” program which was scheduled for this Saturday, February 19, will be canceled due to unseasonably warm weather, the WPD announced on its Facebook and Instagram this past Friday.

According to the announcement, the decision was made “out of an abundance of caution for everyone’s safety”. The WPD stated that the warm weather would cause “potential [sic] hazardous ice conditions.”

Along with the assistance of Good Pickin’ Farm, the WPD stated that they are looking to find a new date and time to host the event, if the weather cooperates.

“All participants who were signed up should have received an email notification alerting them of the cancellation,” the WPD stated.
