Throughout the past week there have several reports of a suspicious person trespassing on properties in the Nabnasset neighborhood of Westford.
According to surveillance footage released by the Westford Police Department (WPD) earlier this week, the individual was seen walking around and searching through the properties during the late evening and the early morning hours.
The WPD reported that the incidents occurred on Newport Drive, Jonas Road, and Grove Street in Westford; close to the Chelmsford town line. The WPD noted that this area spans a distance of over a mile.
All the surveillance footage that was collected and released by the WPD shows that the same individual is responsible for all of the reported incidents.
Some residents of the area have stated that they noticed a man in the early morning hours who was wearing “white pants, a black puffer coat with the hood up tight, sunglasses and a blue surgical mask,” similar to the individual shown in the surveillance footage.
Although there have been no reports of any stolen belongings resulting from the incidents, the WPD stated that anyone who recognizes the individual or sees any more suspicious activity should call either the Westford or Chelmsford police immediately.
