Police, Fire Departments respond to overturned vehicle on Lowell Road

WESTFORD — Safety officials closed Lowell Road on Saturday afternoon to respond to an overturned vehicle which damaged an electrical pole.

“As a result of the accident, a utility pole and associated wires were damaged and need to be replaced,” wrote a post on social media from the Westford Police Department.

Lowell Road is closed between Boxwood Lane and Strawberry Lane as of approximately 6 p.m. National Grid will be replacing a damaged utility pole, according to the Westford Fire Department.

One individual was present in the vehicle and transported to a local hospital for further evaluation, according to Westford Fire Department.
