The public is invited to an event called “Protecting Our Teens and Tweens: Anxiety Awareness and Suicide Prevention.”

This special forum is being offered by the Upper Merrimack Valley Medical Reserve Corps, in collaboration with the Westford Health Department and Westford Public Schools.

The speaker, Jon Mattleman, got rave reviews from his presentation at a similar forum in June 2018. Jon returns with the latest practical advice that can be applied immediately! More information about Jon is available here: https://www.jonmattleman.com/about-jon

This session is for anyone interested in the mental health of tweens and teens – especially as affected by COVID! Westford residents are especially welcome.

The event will take place in the Stony Brook School Auditorium, 9 Farmer’s Way, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. with light refreshments (which must be consumed in the lobby). Q&A and resource tables will be available before and after the presentation.

For those who attend in person, free CEUs for nurses, EMTs, and WPS employees are available! Social worker CEUs are expected as well; final decision due this Friday.

In addition to the spacious auditorium – at which masks are optional – there is a live-stream link for those who cannot be there in person. (The session is not being recorded.) Tune in live using this link: https://cloud.castus.tv/vod/westfordcat/video/5fb4356844daaa6519676589?page=HOME&type=live
